MEMBERSHIP


Membership of the Cadet Corps is only open to all youths and students of educational institution under the age range of 15 to 44 years, irrespective of their sex, religion, and ethnic group, place of birth or social status.

Membership is on voluntary basis and confirmation of membership is considered after the submission of the application form issued by the corps and filled in the applicant’s own handwriting. Also, the form must be countersigned by the parent/guardian of the applicant as a witness to the Oath of Allegiance signed by their child.

i. All intending / prospective members are expected to be mentally, medically and physically fit and must not be a member of any secret cult or member of any unauthorized organization.

ii. All intending / prospective members shall partake in oral interview, and physical fitness exercise.

iii. All intending / prospective members must be crime and drug free.

iv. The prospective cadets must be able to do basic exercise like push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and be able to run.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership shall be approved provided that: i. He has taken the Oath of Allegiance.

ii. Accepts to abide by the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, respect its ideals and its institutions, the National Flag, the National Anthem, the National Pledge, legitimate and constituted authorities.

iii. To render assistance to appropriate and lawful agencies in the maintenance of law and order.

iv. Accepts the aims, objectives, principles, fundamental values, policies and programmes of the corps;

v. Application for membership is personally made by the applicant; and a student shall be registered as a member of the corps in school, which he/she resides.
